It’s National Apprenticeship Week (5 – 11 February 2024), and there’s no place quite like the nuclear industry for an apprentice, with a varied range of opportunities to learn about all aspects of the working world, from HR to engineering.
There are over 2,000 apprentices learning their trade in UK civil nuclear and to mark National Apprenticeship Week 2024, a selection of them from across the NIA membership offer a snapshot into what they do and why they chose the nuclear industry.
This year’s theme – ‘Skills for Life’ – is very fitting for the nuclear industry, which prides itself on training apprentices and setting them up for life-long careers in the sector.
